Photo of the Week: Fireworks!

What is it about fireworks that is always such a thrill? 

There’s just something about the light and the noise that get your heart going.  I recently watched the finale of the Casino Lac Leamy International Fireworks Competition from a vantage point beside the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.  Last year, the event was moved to the Ottawa River, which has turned out to be a great idea.  People stream into the normally quiet downtown to get a good view.  Great show and many new friends made!
