Photo of the Week: Winter Solstice

The long shadows of the winter solstice in Canada. 

I took this photo on the first day of winter in Gatineau Park, Quebec, last year.  Although the days are getting shorter and the shadows longer, the weather has been warm, with no snow, so far this year.

And that’s fine with me.
